The convention hotel is the Scottsdale Resort and Spa (formerly the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch). Reservations are managed via a special link on the hotel’s website. Click Here for Details and to Make a Reservation

IMPORTANT: The only methods of securing our group rate and perks at the hotel are the preferred method of using the blue button at the bottom of our hotel page (THE BUTTON TAKES YOU TO A SPECIAL LINK ON THE HILTON WEBSITE), or by using group code “WWII23” and “World Wings” (group name) when speaking directly to the hotel (833-729-1626) or to Hilton’s reservation department. A 2-night deposit is required – you will see or be told the total, but only 2 nights will be charged up front as the deposit, with the balance due at checkout. By reserving your stay using one of these methods, the nightly resort fee of $35 is waived; you will receive a $30 daily Luna Spa credit; a 15% dinner discount in Kitchen West; free parking, and more. DO NOT USE hotel booking sites such as Priceline, Hotels.com, etc., as you will forfeit ALL benefits. Questions? Click Here to contact the convention team.

CLOTHING, CLIMATE, AND HEALTH
Scottsdale sits in the Sonoran Desert. In late October to early November, the area is hot and generally dry, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to the mid-90s (°F). Temperatures drop about 20° at night. Humidity is generally low and rainfall negligible. Elevation is about 1200′, but there are mountainous and high desert areas nearby. Elevation at Sedona is over 4000′, and over 7000′ feet at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Be sure to stay hydrated, use sunscreen liberally, and avoid over-exertion. For excursions, wear sensible, protective clothing and sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes or boots (no heels) are also required for the Desert Foothills event. Be aware that rattlesnakes and scorpions are native to the area. Wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes when outdoors, look inside your shoes before putting them on, and watch where you step.
