Paris-Brussels Chapter Gallery

The Paris/ Brussels Chapter is always ready to throw a party. So when Wendy Sue and Kalman hit town, we all got together at Le Café des Deux Moulins in Montmartre, made famous by the film, “Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain, for a VERY HAPPY HOUR…or three! Wendy saw the light, and after a few glasses of rosé, became our newest Associate Member! She and Kalman will continue on a tour of France this month. We finished 5 magnums of rosé and even our waiters joined in, clowning with the group!

We thank Grace for organizing this lunch to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Having previously visited the restaurant Lao Lane Xang, and knowing the quality of the food, we were delighted to return. Present were 9 of us, 6 World Wingers and 3 guests. Ghislain was the only male and he enjoyed the company of the ladies! It was a lovely lunch, shared with friends.

World Wingers and friends came from near and far to bid farewell to Holly this past Saturday evening, January 20th at the home of Bruce Gately. Bruce once again greeted us all with his radiant smile, thus setting the pace for another very special party.

Champagne flowed freely all evening and, once again, food was more than plentiful. We were pleased and honored to welcome Françoise Dauzat, the FIHCA Secretary General, her husband Michel and Martine Reilly, the President of the AHCA, Association des Hôtesses et Convoyeuses de l’Air, and our friend Martine Taillandier, all four of them former Air France. We were also thrilled to welcome a new World Winger, Elizabeth Kepp.
It’s hard to imagine our Paris/Brussels Chapter without our Holly. We wish her all the best in her new life and undertakings in California.

On July 20, 2017, the Paris-Brussels chapter gathered in Bruce Gately’s courtyard to dedicate a plaque that will be displayed in Marseille, France. The plaque commemorates the first Pan Am transatlantic flight of the Dixie Clipper—from Port Washington, NY, to Marseille—in June of 1939. The plaque is a duplicate of the original in Port Washington and was purchased from funds raised by the Paris-Brussels Chapter.
