TRAVEL INSURANCE
FOR YOUR PROTECTION, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU OBTAIN INSURANCE THAT WILL COVER THE COST OF TRAVEL, HOTEL, PREPAID EVENTS, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE EVENT YOUR CONVENTION PLANS ARE DISRUPTED. Contact your insurance or travel agent for assistance. We would hate to see anyone lose money due to unexpected cancellations.
We are not recommending or endorsing any particular insurance company, and are listing the following for your convenience only.

DOCUMENTATION
CHECK YOUR PASSPORT’S EXPIRATION DATE! Passports are required for travel to Europe from the US. For visits to the UK, your passport must be valid for at least six months after your arrival. If your passport is expired or will expire prior to April 2025, be sure to renew your passport soon. The State Department has a backlog of millions of passports and renewal can take several months. Play it safe and start your renewal process early!

Beginning in 2025 (this date was originally 2024, but appears to have been delayed), thirty European countries will implement a travel authorization requirement for US citizens. ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) requires that US travelers complete an online application at least 96 hours prior to travel (whether visiting or transiting), and requires that you submit personal information, passport information, and background information. The submission fee is currently 7 Euros (no charge for applicants under 18 or over 70 years of age).

At the present time, we are unaware of any such plan for the UK. However, if you are planning to extend your London trip to visit other countries, will be transiting other countries, or plan travel to Europe in 2025, you need to be aware of this upcoming change.

Regardless of reason for the cancellation, World Wings can reimburse you only under the terms stated in the cancellation policy. Contact your insurance or travel agent for assistance.

CLOTHING, CLIMATE, AND HEALTH
London’s temperature in September averages a high of 67° F and a low of 55° F. The season can be somewhat chilly and rain is always a possibility.
Take a medium-weight coat and carry an umbrella whenever you go out.
Sensible footwear is highly recommended. Many of the streets and walkways in the area of the hotel are cobblestone.
The days are becoming shorter at this time of year, with the sun setting before 7 PM. Be sure to allow sufficient time to see the city’s attractions before night sets in.

The Chapel at Lincoln’s Inn

The Old Hall dates back to 1489. It was extensively renovated during the reign of Queen Mary, and reopened in 1928.

The Old Hall

The Gala Dinner in the Great Hall at Lincoln’s Inn is now fully booked. We have opened a waiting list. However, we’ve been offered exclusive use of the Old Court Room, in the same historic setting of Lincoln’s Inn. This is a lovely room, lined with antiquarian books, with vistas over the Estate grounds. We love the intimate setting and quieter ambience of this room, and we think you will too. Pre-dinner drinks will still take place ‘ensemble’, on the terrace if weather permits, and afterwards you will enjoy dinner served by your own personal team.

Sunday, September 22 (PM):

The Tower Bridge Opening for the Dixie Queen

Joining us on board will be a knowledgable guide, who will mingle with the guests and be on hand to point out places of interest. (No loudspeakers!) After a buffet dinner on board, followed by dancing, we’ll stop the traffic once again at Tower Bridge when we return to the Pier.
